Mu. Year 100 of the Golden Age.

The discovery of the Orichalcum mine led to big changes in the city. A sanctuary to worship Mother Nature was built on top of the mining faciliy, thus making this place the new center of the city. Since the cave sat on the hillside of Mount Meru, buildings were arranged around it, and streets started to radiate from the sanctuary. Since it was the first city, no walls were needed at this point, so the buildings blended with the neighbouring fields. These were irrigated by means of water channels that followed the same radial pattern as the streets.

In its origins, the city was called after the mountain where it stood. Through the years though, the name Meru was contracted and the city ended up being called Mu, which is the name that was later used to call the island-continent where it was founded.
